Catherine was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1956. She studied Fine Arts at the Adelaide College of the Arts from 1973 to 1976 and taught art in South Australia until 1983.

In 1984-1986 she studied Theatrical Make-up and Special Effects and worked in the film and television industry for 12 years.

Cathy is now based in Sydney and has been working for several years as a full time artist.

She has won several awards for portraiture and still-life.

Cathy's work is not limited to one style. Her love of the process of painting is reflected in her diverse style which covers traditional, still-life, contemporary and abstract.
